For every parent and child

Written by Karen Gibbs

My precious son took the time to post this video on my page. It’s for every parent and child! I found it so moving, I thought I’d pay it forward and share with you. It very accurately depicts the pain felt when we overlook the important stuff in life. We can all be guilty of doing this because we just get so busy in our day to day lives. It’s clear that we need to slow down, reconnect with ourselves and pay greater attention to the things, and especially the people that really matter. As you’ve seen me write before, If you love someone, make sure they know it! I believe in this because tomorrow is not promised and we never know what the future holds. Regret is a heavy burden to bear. This video is a brilliant reminder of exactly what we don’t want to lose..The following are the words my son wrote for me and my friends who would see the post.

“This video really puts life into perspective if you find the time please watch.

Life is not made up of the stuff we can store up or the latest and greatest technology we can wrap our fingers around, life should not be based on how much money we can earn or how high we can climb on the corporate ladder, because at the end of the line we can’t take anything with us.

This is a short clip on a man who chased all the things this life could throw at him and everything that should have been important was left behind.

Karen Gibbs (Mum) this is for you. Sometimes in your children’s busy lives you might think we don’t love and think about you but we do. You’re the greatest Mum ever ( Leah is pretty good too xo ) so selfless and loving.

Love you Mum xo

Leave me a comment if you enjoy the video as much as I did!
